At Shaffer's NextGen IT & Marketing, we believe in clear communication and setting proper expectations. Please review our official policies regarding IT repairs, custom PC builds, web design, SEO services, and general liability.
Terms of Service
The information provided by Shaffer's NextGen IT & Marketing on this website is for general informational purposes only. All information is provided in good faith, however, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, or completeness of any information on the site.

Hardware & Devices
Protecting your data and hardware is our top priority, but computer repair carries inherent risks. Please read our repair policies carefully.
Shaffer’s NextGen IT & Marketing is not responsible for data loss. While we take every precaution to safeguard your files during diagnostics and repairs, hardware failure can happen at any time.
It is your responsibility to back up all data, software, and files prior to dropping off your device.
If requested, we can attempt a data backup for an additional fee, but absolute recovery is never guaranteed.
Due to limited storage space, we cannot hold onto completed or unrepairable devices indefinitely.
Equipment left for more than 30 days after notification of completion (or notification of an unrepairable status) will be considered abandoned.
Abandoned equipment will be recycled, sold, or disposed of to recover diagnostic/repair costs. We are not liable for any data left on abandoned devices.
We take pride in our custom builds, but hardware warranties belong to the manufacturer.
New parts ordered for repairs or custom builds fall under the original manufacturer’s warranty.
Shaffer's NextGen provides a 30-day guarantee on labor and assembly. Software issues, user-inflicted damage, or malware infections post-pickup are not covered under labor warranties.
Accurate repairs require thorough testing.
A standard diagnostic fee applies to all physical drop-offs. If you choose to proceed with the repair, this fee is often rolled into the final labor cost.
Estimates are given based on initial symptoms. If hidden damage is discovered during repair, we will pause work and contact you with an updated estimate before proceeding.
Digital Services
Digital landscapes change rapidly. Our policies ensure that project scopes remain clear and expectations for SEO timelines are realistic.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a long-term strategy influenced by hundreds of external factors controlled by Google and other search engines. We do not guarantee #1 rankings, specific traffic volumes, or overnight results. Rankings can fluctuate due to algorithm updates, competitor actions, and market changes. Our strategies utilize white-hat, industry-standard practices designed to build sustainable growth over time (typically 3 to 6 months).
Website projects are billed based on the agreed-upon scope of work signed during discovery. Standard web builds include a designated number of revision rounds. Any additional feature requests, page additions, or massive structural changes requested after the scope is approved will be billed at our standard hourly development rate.
Shaffer's NextGen utilizes premium third-party tools (such as WordPress, WooCommerce, and various plugins). We are not liable for website downtime, security breaches, or functionality losses caused by third-party plugin updates, server outages at your hosting provider, or user error. If you subscribe to our ongoing maintenance retainer, we actively monitor and repair these updates as part of that agreement.
Invoicing & Payments
Web design and major IT deployment projects require a non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) before work commences or parts are ordered.
Hardware and custom PC parts must be paid for in full prior to us placing the order. Parts are subject to the return policy of the original retailer.
Final payment is due upon project completion or hardware pickup. Websites will not be migrated to a live server until the final invoice is paid in full.
Due to the customized nature of digital marketing, SEO, and web development, labor hours cannot be refunded once work has been performed.
Data Protection
As an IT and digital marketing agency, we regularly handle sensitive business data, passwords, and customer information. We take your privacy seriously and maintain strict confidentiality standards.
Client Communication
We strive to provide rapid, reliable support for our local business clients, but please note our standard communication and operating boundaries.
General inquiries, project updates, and non-emergency support tickets are typically answered within 1 to 2 business days during normal operating hours.
Network outages or critical hardware failures for active clients receive priority dispatch. Emergency rates may apply outside of standard business hours.
Free support is limited to active retainer/warranty clients. Out-of-scope network fixes or post-launch web design edits will be quoted as hourly tasks.
By dropping off a device for repair, signing a web design proposal, or paying an invoice from Shaffer's NextGen IT & Marketing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be directly communicated to active retainer clients.
Transparency is important to us. If you need clarification on our repair warranties, SEO timelines, or billing structure before starting a project, reach out today.
